AN ILKLEY MOOR WEDDING
St Paul's Church, Esholt and Craiglands Hotel Ilkey. Oh and a trip to Cow and Calf rocks.
I met Paul and Laura back in March. They had originally been planning their wedding for next year, but decided to move it forward after booking a travelling trip in America for this summer, which then became their honeymoon. Paul and Laura met a couple of years ago at the school where they both work. Paul explained in his speech that they both love lots of the same things - including cruise holidays! This theme of travel made it into their wedding, with postcards used to name each table after a different place they had visited. Their gorgeous table plan was made using a map and pins - it was amazing!
Laura got ready with her bridesmaids at Craiglands hotel. Paul had written her the sweetest letters to open after each stage of getting ready, and it was so lovely to capture her opening these. Paul got ready at The Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate. My second shooter, Rachel Burton, captured him and his groomsmen getting ready before they all headed to the Woolpack pub in Esholt to meet some more of Paul's friends and family. The church service was at St Paul's Esholt. It was a beautiful service and, during the signing of the register, three very talented girls from their school performed a few songs.
Whilst Laura, Paul and I headed to Cow and Calf Rocks to capture a few portraits, the guests headed to Craiglands where they were surprised with a waffle van. It was such a lovely day to be a part of. Thank you so much for having me Laura and Paul.
