OLD RECTORY HOUSE HOTEL REDDITCH WEDDING

Oct 30, 2019

IF YOU’RE PLANNING AN OLD RECTORY HOUSE HOTEL REDDITCH WEDDING, YOU’LL WANT TO SEE THIS!

Emily and Tom first got in touch with me after Emily realised we shared an obsession with F-R-I-E-N-D-S  and she loved my photos.  They were married at the gorgeous Old Rectory House Hotel Redditch. It was a stunning autumn wedding with lots of colour, fun and laughter. This Old Rectory House Hotel Redditch wedding was such an amazing day to be a part of.

GETTING READY:

Emily and Tom were both able to get ready at their venue, The Old Rectory House in Redditch. Emily wore a beautiful dress with grey tones and lace. She mentioned how her amazing seamstress (details below) did such a brilliant job of making sure it was a perfect fit. Emily’s friend and bridesmaid did her make-up, which was just so lovely! It was such a chilled morning with plenty of time to chill once everyone was ready. Tom wore a tweed suit and looked very dapper. There was a moment when Emily could see him from an upstairs window and couldn’t stop staring at him.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony took place in the orangery. Outdoor weddings are possible at The Old Rectory House in the summer, but the orangery is just as lovely. It looks out of the garden and the windows let in so much light. Emily had decorated it with bright coloured ribbons, too, which looked amazing. Emily cried down the aisle, and the tears carried on in the ceremony. There were plenty of lols and squeals throughout.

THE RECEPTION

Emily and Tom walked out of their venue straight into a confetti walk, which had some epic ‘straight in the face’ throws from some of the guests (those throws always give the BEST faces).  We quickly got through their small group shot list and then headed for a little walk to get a few portraits, after we got some shots in front of the ‘rainbow ribbon washing line’. Tom gave Emily a piggyback into their reception and then they ate yummy sausage and mash.

THE EVENING

The speeches were great fun and I got SO MANY photos of laughing guests. We then headed outside where there was gin, beer, cigars and sparklers waiting for everyone. It was a really special time and everyone joined in. In the evening they had ‘The Tribute’ play and there was lots of dancing, but also lots of chilling and laughing – perfect.
