Bradford Wedding Photographer | Beaumont Park, Huddersfield

August 29, 2015

Every wedding is unique and wonderful, but every now and then I am asked to photograph a wedding which really differs from the norm. Anne-Marie and Colin had a hand tying ceremony in the bandstand of the beautiful Beaumont Park, Huddersfield. There wedding was so bright and colourful. Colin has been very poorly the summer before their wedding, so the wedding was a double celebration of his recovery and their love.

The wedding was handcrafted and perfectly simple. They wore clothes they already had in the wardrobe, and the groom and their children wore hawaiian shirts. The decorations were all handmade, from the bunting to the screen printed invites. Anne-marie is an artist and this really showed in her design of the decorations and her fabulous use of colour. I loved photographing this wedding as it was a true celebration of life and all that is important in it, finding your soul-mate, and sticking with them through it all.

The icing on the cake was the most stunning sunset that blessed the skies above the reception at Hepworth.
